November 2026 Update

I’m making progress! Life is falling into more of a rhythm and I’m being able to work on edits more consistently while also working on other projects. It’s about to have a bit of a planned upheaval, but since I’ve already been working at a routine, it shouldn’t throw everything completely out of whack. I’m about a quarter of the way through my next editing pass of The Crystalline Alliance, and with most of the prep for Dragonsteel Nexus out of the way, I should be able to focus on it more. I’m hoping to treat November like NaNoEdMo and just put in more of a focus on it. I’ve also made some progress on my Gemtouched Memoirs short story, but it still has a ways to go.

October has very much felt like a month of finding balance. I haven’t quite found the balance I want, but it’s getting closer. I’m feeling more rested than I have in a while, taking time for rest and play, as well as reading. The more I read words on a page, rather than in my ear, the more I get excited about writing again. Something about the pace, I’m sure. I appreciate my audiobooks, but they tend to careen by as I listen at 2x speed. I can digest much better when I’m taking things more slowly, both in reading and in life.
